A handsome hand-tooled leather belt, its hardware is embellished with the most gorgeous turquoise inlay. Bright turquoise blossoms are depicted in small circle channel inlay, adorning the silver buckle and end tip. Silver belt loops are inlaid with round and teardrop turquoise stones. The dark brown leather strap is tooled with a pretty floral pattern. This unique piece was made by Zuni artist Virgil Dishta Sr. The back of the buckle is signed "VDISHTA SR." Circa 1960.

Virgil Dishta, Sr. was born in 1921, the son of Zuni artists Frank and Pauline Dishta. Virgil carried on their unique style of small circle channel inlay.

Details.....The belt measures 42" long and graduates from .75" to 1.25" wide. The belt holes are 32-34.5 inches. The buckle measures 1.50" by 1.75", and the tip measures .75" by 1.10". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
